How to Update Maps Using Navman GPS

As routes and the reference sites along the trip vary, a GPS gadget is only as good as its data. To ensure that the directions provided by your device are accurate and helpful, it is essential to keep your GPS maps updated. To manage map updates and content, Navman GPS needs a firmware application that you install on your computer.

Step 1:

Ensure that NavDesk is set up on your PC. The programme can be downloaded from the Navman website or installed from the CD that came with your Navman device (see Resources). Additionally, ensure sure your GPS is completely charged.

Step 2:

Go to the map for Navman Update in your Web browser (see Resources). Find the heading for your device model and the row for the map region you want to update, such as Eastern Europe, Australia, or North America, by navigating through the various device tables.

Step 3:

To download an updated map, click the link that is located next to the relevant one. The MY400LMT comes with lifetime free maps and updates and lets you just click on the "Download GPS Map" next to the appropriate map. Click on the "Purchase GPS Map" link next to the appropriate map to be sent to the payment screen if you haven't purchased an update plan for your EZY model GPS device. A product key number will be emailed to you following your purchase. To download the file, you must still click on the "Download GPS Map" link.

Step 4:

Save the map file to the Documents/My Maps directory that NavDesk automatically generates on your PC.

Step 5:

Use a USB cord to connect your Navman GPS gadget to the computer. Turn the device on and watch for the computer connection screen to appear, which includes pictures of a computer and a GPS device centred around the USB logo.

Step 6:

Launch NavDesk on your computer.

Step 7:

In NavDesk, select the "Unlock Features" button.

Step 8:

Enter the product key number for your map subscription. If you purchased a MY400LMT, this key is included with the product paperwork. If you purchased an EZY model device, the product key was given to you through email.

Step 9:

Select "Continue" from the menu.

Step 10:

To open the Loadable Maps window, click the "My Maps" icon once more in the NavDesk window.

Step 11:

The "Open" button next to the newly downloaded map file will launch My Navman and Map Source windows.

Step 12:

Select the "Remove Maps" button after checking the box next to your old map in the My Navman window. Await the procedure' conclusion.

Step 13:

In the Map Source window, check the box next to the newly unlocked map, then select "Install Maps." Await the procedure' conclusion. You'll receive a notification from NavDesk when the transfer is finished.
